How does your money help the animals?
All funds raised through sponsorship, donations and items sold are given straight back to the animals.
Funds received will go towards our never ending vet bills, that can cost up 2,000 pounds a year,
800 of it which is spent on myxomatosis vaccinations for the 40-50 rabbits in our care.
Your donations also pay towards food for all the animals, our food bill at the end of the year can fall anywhere
between 5,000 to 6,000 pounds.
In the winter heating is required for most of the indoor animals to insure they don’t become too ill from the freezing
temperatures we have.
Our animal treatment room is heated along with the bird room and bunny lodge, the terrapin pool is heated and so is the snake vivarium
All young and ill animals need to have extra heat so a lamp is provided for them,
As you can see heating is needed an awful lot to keep our animals warm and well.
Funds go towards our heating bill as well as other things like bedding, new equipment such as heat pads / heat lamps,
special first aid equipment for the animals if they need it and also disinfectant.
Donations are always welcome and any other fund raising will be much appreciated by the all the animals in our care.
We would like to thank everyone who has donated or helped to raise funds for the sanctuary or offering their time in volunteering
to help in any way around the site fixing, painting etc.
